Teen Center
Women & Teens & Patient Dr. Novoa established the Novoa Women & Teen Center in order to help reduce the ever increasing rate of Cesarean Section (C-Section). Dr. Novoa has taken up the challenge set by the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), the World Health Organization (WHO) and Healthy People 2010 to reduce the rate of primary Cesarean Section.

Since 1975, the percentage of primary Cesarean Section in the United States has risen every year. The current rate of primary Cesarean Section is above 32%. Dr. Novoa feels that we are not doing enough to reduce this rate to a recommended 15% level.

With a 7% primary Cesarean Section rate, Dr. Novoa is setting the example.

We are strong supporters of reducing the nationwide Cesarean rate. We encourage you to find an Obstetrician who emphasizes this belief. Please go to the ICAN (The International Cesarean Awareness Network, Inc.) website for more information about Cesarean Awareness.

Dr. Novoa's standards set First Choice apart from everyone else. Although Dr. Novoa is a panel member of the Del Sol and Sierra Teen Centers, he created the Novoa Women & Teen Center to provide the highest quality care with documented accountability of results.

Dr. Novoa lists his monthly stats and is committed to reducing the Cesarean Section rate. With a Primary Cesarean Section rate six (6) times lower that the national average, why would you go anywhere else??
